Village Burger was once again the site of a smash-and-grab burglary attempt Facebook photo Several businesses along Main Street were casualties to smash-and-grab burglary attempts sometime during the night of July or early July According to a social media post on Taste of Tucker s Facebook page several of our beloved Main Street restaurants woke up this morning to smashed windows and unexpected setbacks According to bystanders and social media posts Ford s BBQ Village Burger and Nicky s Undefeated and Yes Eventz were among the businesses hit in the latest round with glass storefronts smashed These small businesses are the heart of our Tucker population and the backbone of Taste of Tucker the Facebook post revealed Let s show them the love they ve perpetually shown us Dine local Order takeout Leave a kind word Tip generously There has been a rash of break-ins during the last year even though majority of yielded little in the way of cash or valuables In January The Corner Cup Coffee and Nicky s Undefeated were burglarized The City of Tucker issued on social media footage of the January break-in at Nicky s which proved a white bus pull up to the entrance to the store two people jump out and within a minute smash the plate glass window and take items from behind the counter In mid- June a man stole about a cash drawer containing about from Matthews Cafeteria Police identified as the suspect as -year-old Terrence Tamplin who according to DeKalb County Jail records has been arrested multiple times from to charged with a variety of offenses including burglary larceny failure to appear on previous charges DUI probation violation impersonating a law enforcement officer and fleeing from police In July Village Burger Monster Cravings Las Colinas and The Corner Cup were also burglarized A representative from Ford s BBQ mentioned two of its doors were damaged in the latest happening with one smashed in and the other suffering damage to the door knob The restaurant is open however with two other entryways available The rep reported nothing of value was taken from the restaurant Village Burger was open on July but was just taking debit and credit cards as forms of payment because of the affair Nicky s Undefeated was also open for business The post Tucker s Main Street businesses burglarized again appeared first on Rough Draft Atlanta
