Out on Film to host Sundance screening and Pride series at Landmark

Out on Film Atlanta s LGBT film festival is hosting a number of events at Landmark Midtown Arts Cinema during Pride month including a Pride film series On June the film festival is partnering with Atlanta Pride Georgia Equality the human rights organization Lambda Legal and former Out on Film Board Chair Craig Hardesty for a screening of Heightened Scrutiny The documentary which played at the Sundance Film Festival follows an ACLU lawyer fighting a Tennessee law that would ban gender affirming care for transgender youth The screening also includes a conversation with Jeff Graham executive director of Georgia Equality Tara Borelli an attorney with Lambda Legal Ben Ackerly co-leader of the Atlanta chapter of TransParent and trans activist Ava Davis The conversation will be moderated by Hardesty The screening is free to attend Seats can be reserved online On June the festival will continue its June Pride film series in partnership with Landmark Midtown Arts Cinema with a screening of Gus Van Sant s film Milk The movie stars Sean Penn as Harvey Milk the first openly gay elected official in California Tickets can be purchased online The June Pride film series will continue with Lisa Cholodenko s The Kids Are All Right on June and Dee Rees Pariah on June The post Out on Film to host Sundance screening and Pride series at Landmark appeared first on Rough Draft Atlanta
