Moose attacks woman walking dog in Boulder County

A woman was taken to the hospital after she was attacked by a moose while she was walking her dog in Boulder County on Wednesday afternoon The woman was walking her dog off-leash west of Jamestown around p m when a young bull moose knocked her to the ground and stomped on her multiple times according to a Colorado Parks and Wildlife news release The woman was taken to a hospital with head and back injuries according to the release CPW executives could not find the moose when they responded to the area Leaders have placed signs warning of aggressive moose behavior near the area The majority of communicated moose attacks involve dogs and pets should be kept on leash outdoors especially near areas where moose live the agency noted in the release
