Chattahoochee Nature Center launches ’50 Things’ challenge ahead of milestone anniversary

Ahead of its th anniversary Chattahoochee Nature Center CNC is launching a new challenge initiative called Things to Do at Chattahoochee Nature Center The challenge encourages Atlantans to explore the outdoors in creative and meaningful avenues with the first challenge kicking off this month during CNC s popular Halloween Hikes event and continuing through June Participants are encouraged to complete programs from four themed categories Healthcare and Wellness Adventure Artistic and Flora and Fauna that CNC designed to showcase the a great number of solutions visitors can connect with nature according to the environmentally-focused nonprofit Planned engagements include canoeing hiking creating nature art meeting wildlife ambassadors and more Participating Atlantans that complete of the sessions are able to submit their challenge tracker and a photo for a chance to win a number of prizes according to CNC Winners will be drawn monthly from July through October coinciding with CNC s upcoming anniversary celebrations It s hard to believe Chattahoochee Nature Center is approaching five decades of connecting people with nature a milestone we are all incredibly proud of and excited to commemorate explained Natasha Rice chief executive officer of Chattahoochee Nature Center We decided to begin the celebration early in a way that truly engages our society and launching our Things challenge during Halloween Hikes felt like the perfect way to do that Founded in by local conservation advocates the Roswell-based CNC has grown from a -acre site into a -acre environmental learning center that sees more than visitors a year Over the decades the nonprofit has expanded its programs wildlife habitats and facilities becoming one of Georgia s leaders in conservation rehabilitation and training in the process stated a press release More information about the Things challenge along with CNC s future anniversary events can be discovered on the nonprofit s website The post Chattahoochee Nature Center launches Things challenge ahead of milestone anniversary appeared first on Rough Draft Atlanta
