Atlanta Falcons welcomes 2025 class for HBCU Fellows Program

The Atlanta Falcons kick-started this year s HBCU Fellows Plan by having the students participate in Atlanta Habitat for Humanity s A Brush with Kindness project Credit Photo courtesy of the Blank Family of Businesses The Atlanta Falcons officially launched the iteration of its HBCU Fellows Activity by welcoming the participating students from Morehouse College Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University Now in its third year the eight-week paid fellowship gives students from Atlanta s Historically Black Colleges and Universities the opportunity to gain hands-on career experience across various sectors According to a release this year s cohort will engage in areas such as photography stadium production sports device brand communications and more all of which are offered by AMB Sports and Entertainment AMBSE the parent organization of the Falcons The HBCU Fellowship Scheme represents our long-term commitment to creating access into the sports and entertainment industry and that means investing in students who reflect the diversity and excellence of our city mentioned Latonda Henderson chief diversity equity and inclusion officer for AMBSE As part of the experience the class commenced this year s operation by participating in a volunteer activity called A Brush with Kindness A Brush with Kindness is an Atlanta Habitat for Humanity initiative that provides exterior home preservation services like painting and pressure washing for those who may be unable to handle these tasks themselves due to age disability or financial constraints stated a release Kicking off the season in arrangement alongside the fellows and campaign alumni powerfully illustrates how impactful partnerships unite to assistance and uplift our neighborhood explained Henderson Exposing the fellows to meaningful provision opportunities like this embodies our core value of Give Back to Others and highlights the importance of ensuring accessibility and inclusion The day of institution is part of a curriculum that includes mentorship from the Atlanta Falcons and Wells Fargo finance company visiting the National Football League s headquarters in New York as well as working on a capstone project The post Atlanta Falcons welcomes class for HBCU Fellows Effort appeared first on Rough Draft Atlanta
